Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) also known as First aid for mental health, both are an internationally recognised training course that is equipped and designed to teach people and give them the tools to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis. Due to some of the sensitive topics of the course candidates need to be made aware that some candidates can find certain segments of the course challenging, although our tutors help whole class to feel safe and comfortable.
In the past year in the UK alone, 74 percent of people have felt so stressed they have been overwhelmed or unable to cope. Being able to recognise the signs of mental health early will enable you and your organisation to support their own brain health and the wellbeing of colleagues.
The course will equip you with the necessary skills to recognise signs of mental ill health, an understanding of common mental health issues, and knowledge of how to support positive wellbeing. This course is widely available at all our training centres, under the guidance of our specialist Mental Health First Aid at Work trainers. Using the latest training technique, it maximises learner recall and confidence and meets HSE Regulations.
Our training is available in several formats, we offer the essential training you want in many ways to suit your needs. Our open courses are ideal for individuals and groups, all our open courses are for anyone wishing to up their skills and knowledge in the chosen subject, these courses can be delivered in the following ways, classroom-based, blended learning which is a mix of both webinar-based and classroom-based delivery methods, there will still be an element of both Practical and Theory assessments in the blending learning approach. HSQE Consultancy also offer an E-Learning First Aid to help the learning gain some theoretical Knowledge prior to undertaking the course.
MHFA – Mental Health First Aid – does not expire. However, we recommend that you attend this course every 3 years to refresh your skills. As part of our environmental policy, all certificates will be available as a link and PDF download on completion. Our e-certificates are valid certification and accepted by all governing bodies and accreditations centres.
A maximum of 16 delegates can attend this course.

Candidates have a good understanding of spoken and written English. While we are often able to provide support to people who do not have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance. We may be able to make special arrangements if requested in advance. Please contact us if you need any guidance. Candidates do not need to have prior learning or experience in this qualification.

Candidates are required to bring Photo ID in order that they may take the exam. This can either be a Passport or a Driving License.
