This is an excellent introduction to health and safety in the workplace and will benefit all employees, particularly those who may be accepting a health and safety role, such as a safety representative within their organisation.  The Level 2 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace provides learners with the basic knowledge for keeping themselves and those around them safe in a work environment, covering such important skills as using protective equipment, dealing with accidents, and controlling risks, including what you can do if you think anyone’s health and safety is being put at risk.

How this course will be delivered

Our training is available both bespoke designed in-house and as open courses.  Our open courses are great for individual, but even if you only have two people who require training our in-house courses will be a much more cost-effective option for you… and you will not even need to travel, we will come to you.  If you require us to come to you, we can.  With qualified lead instructors based throughout the UK, HSQE Consultancy can provide training at your premises, at a time and date to suit your requirements.

Certification

This course ensures that you meet recommendations underlined by the HSE and provides you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to use what you have and enhance your safety to the advantage of your business employer.  Assessment is on-going by the instructor, culminating with a multiple-choice question paper.  This qualification does not expire, but refresher training and keeping up to date with changes to policies and procedures is vital to keep the qualification current.

However, we recommend that you attend an upskill course every year to refresh your skills.  Issuing of certification, as part of our environmental policy and conscientious effort to lower the impact on the environment, all certificates will be available as a link and PDF download on completion, this will be sent to you. Our e-certificates are valid certification and accepted by all governing bodies and accreditations centres.  But, if you require a physical copy we are more than happy to send one out to you.

Numbers

A maximum of 16 students can be accommodated on this course and all candidates must be a minimum of 16 years of age to qualify.

Requirements

Candidates have a good understanding of spoken and written English. While we are often able to provide support to people who do not have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance. We may be able to make special arrangements if requested in advance. Please contact us if you need any guidance.  Candidates do not need to have prior learning or experience in this qualification.

What to bring on the day?

Candidates are required to bring Photo ID in order that they may take the exam. This can either be a Passport or a Driving License.
