This course is specifically for those who have completed a 3-day First Aid at Work course and wish to re-new their qualification. The refresher training needs to be completed within the 28 days of the previous certificate’s expiry. Any training taken after this expiry will not be valid. The course will go back over previously covered topics from the original 3-day course. We will look to cover main points and challenge the attendee’s knowledge. Our OFQUAL and SQA accredited First Aid at Work Course is specifically delivered to be in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work ect. Act 1974 and The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981. The course provides a comprehensive set of practical skills needed by first aiders in the workplace, giving both the skill and knowledge to deal with first aid emergencies.
The course will go back over previously covered topics from the original 3 day course. We will look to cover main points and challenge the attendees knowledge.
Candidates are assessed on their knowledge and understanding throughout the course using practical and written tasks, with question papers on days one and two.
This statutory course is delivered as blended learning so just two days of classroom training and one day face-to-face contact still embracing COVID-19 Mitigation. This course is widely available at all our training centres, under the guidance of our specialist First Aid at Work trainers. Using the latest training technique, it maximises learner recall and confidence and meets HSE Regulations. Our training is available in several formats, we offer the essential training you want in many ways to suit your needs. The scenarios should be read in conjunction with the guidance on first-aid needs assessments in First aid at work (L74) (PDF) . The case studies covered include:
First Aid Level 3 – expires on the 3 years anniversary after successfully completing and being issued the certification. However, we recommend that you attend an upskill course every year to refresh your skills. Issuing of certification, as part of our environmental policy and conscientious effort to lower the impact on the environment, all certificates will be available as a link and PDF download on completion, this will be sent to you. Our e-certificates are valid certification and accepted by all governing bodies and accreditations centres. But, if you require a physical copy we are more than happy to send one out to you.
To ensure you get the most effective learning experience, learners must be physically able to participate and we limit maximum of 12 delegates can attend this course.

Candidates have a good understanding of spoken and written English. While we are often able to provide support to people who do not have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance. We may be able to make special arrangements if requested in advance. Please contact us if you need any guidance. Candidates MUST have an in date First Aid at Work Level3 qualification in this qualification.
Candidates are required to bring Photo ID in order that they may take the exam. This can either be a Passport or a Driving License.
