Did you know, National Statistics show that around an average 280 children die in the UK every year after suffering a Sudden Cardiac Arrest at school. European data is estimated that there is approximately 60,000 Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrests occur every year in the UK. In England alone, the Ambulance Service attempts resuscitation in around 30,000 cases, annually. Approximately 80 percent of Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrests (OHCA) occur at Home; 20% will occur in public places. This in mind, if immediate treatment is not given then, 90 to 95 percent of Sudden Cardiac Arrest victims will unfortunately die.
When a Defibrillator is used correctly and effective Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is performed within 3-5 minutes of cardiac arrest occurring, their chance of survival increases from 6 percent to 74 percent. Only 22 percent of people within the UK would be confident in performing Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) on a stranger die every year from Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), are you and/or your staff prepared to combat the fatality of SCA? If you feel that you are not, then then this course provides a perfect opportunity to gain the experience and confidence needed to save the life of a Colleague, Customer or a Family Member.
The practical half day course will allow Suitably Qualified First Aid Personnel to use the AED competently and with confidence. Not only does this course deal with the use of the AED, but also revisits some basic First Aid skills, including resuscitation. Our Defibrillation AED Level 2 Course will enable all candidates to become competent in the usage of any AED Equipment. Candidates will learn the appropriate response to different emergency situations and will become confident in knowing when the use of an AED is necessary.

This course ensures that you meet recommendations underlined by the HSE and provides you with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to use what you have learned in a real emergency. The certification will last 3 years but we recommend Refresher Training annually. As part of our environmental policy, all certificates will be available as a link and PDF download on completion. Our e-certificates are valid certification and accepted by all governing bodies and accreditation centers.

Candidates have a good understanding of spoken and written English. While we are often able to provide support to people who do not have English as a first language, our ability to do so is limited by the time available and the number of people who require assistance. We may be able to make special arrangements if requested in advance. Please contact us if you need any guidance. Candidates do not need to have prior learning or experience in this qualification.
Candidates are required to bring a Photo ID in order that they may take the exam. This can either be a Passport or a Driving License.
